Starting Infrastructure

When starting a new journey, I prefer to have some framework. That could mean many different things, but in this blog we have: 1) a rusty writing style (oh goodness, please let this help me), 2) my list of 101 goals, 3) things in place at the SpecSO’s house.

For the last few years, the SpecSO has gardened in a little raised bed along his house. This year, however, he decided to expand. Before we even considered my moving in, he procured a rototiller and turned over a sizable patch of his yard. I’ll measure it eventually for anyone who cares.image

Also, again before we decided to combine households, he planted fruit trees. This year we’re starting out with: 2 mulberries (those were wild on the property), 3 cherries, 2 apples, 1 peach, and one fig who will hopefully pull through.

Because the SpecSO can’t keep things simple, he also decided that this year would be his year to start keeping bees. The actual bees aren’t in yet, but as of yesterday the hive is ready and waiting.

I’ve started moving my stuff to his place, which means I’ve started downsizing, as per my 101×1001 asperations. I’ll likely write about where I stand in that next.
